Coconut Lemonade

Most lemonades are loaded with refined sugar or high fructose corn syrup. Here is a nice variation that is much better for you.

  • Although they are acid fruits, lemons are some of the most alkalizing foods for your body upon digestion. They clean out the bowel, aid in weight loss and cleansing, help reduce high blood pressure, kill off parasites, and are high in Vitamin C.
  • Raw coconut water is full of enzymes and high in electrolytes. Its composition is nearly identical to human blood plasma and has been used in blood transfusions.
  • Strawberries are high in antioxidants, magnesium, copper, biotin, and phosphorus. They contain ellagic acid, which prevents many types of cancers.
  • Mangoes prevent macular degeneration and promote better eyesight. They promote improved digestion and bone health, and benefit the skin and hair. Mangoes are high in copper, iron, and calcium.

Serves 2-4.

Water of 2 Young Coconuts (1 – 1.5 quarts Coconut Water)

½ cup Lemon Juice (juice of 2 large Lemons)

6 Strawberries, sliced

1/3 Mango, peeled and cubed

2 tbsp. Coconut Nectar or raw Honey

Mix the lemon juice, coconut water, and sweetener. Add the fruits, and allow to marinate in the fridge for the desired length of time. The longer you leave them in, the more flavor the lemonade will take on.

The fruits themselves will become tenderized from the lemon juice.
